Tired of supporting Chicago

Had a friend that worked for railroad. He said that most of the south of the border worker said thier wifes collected wellfare on their maiden names. Most of our wellfare programs require the applicant to not tell the truth to qualify. There are probably 25 to 50% of wellfare folks that probably do not belong there.

A friend that worked for an investment company said that when they first hired 4 black clerks in the 1960s, that 3 of them had two social security numbers. One to work under and one to collect relief under.

The state also gives the city of Chicago a lot of money for their schools, roads and mass transportation. On the news that the Chicago public schools want a 1 1/2% increase in property tax, this would be $18 on a $265000 house. That means the property tax is $1200 per year. The property tax for a $265000 house in the subburbs is $5000 to $6000.If th city and county had their realestate tax tax more in line with the rest of the state, the state would not have to give them so much money. Increasing the realestate tax at a rate of 7% a year will that 40 or 50 years to get their tax up where it should be. I think the elected officals do not want to do this because they would be voterd out of office. It seems that the rest of the state would be getting tired of supporting Chicago.
