Taxes, Pension & Reform

1) The total system of real estate taxes supporting schools and education in Illinois needs a total overhaul. The bottom line should include: reduce real estate taxes for seniors by 50%. Provide funds through the state income tax system which should be increased.

2) Provide a pension system for lawmakers that is reasonable based on time of service like what is common in the work place.

3) All state and federal politicians should have the same benefits under the social security system as the people do. It is absurd that they make the rules and regulations pertaining to social security but aren’t part of the same program. Do away with their inflated welfare benefits.

4) Regarding welfare: Create a system of employment for those on welfare. If they want the benefits of welfare, they need to earn them through labor just like everyone else does.

This would be a great start!

Finally, No bill can be introduced and and then watered down with amendments. Each bill must stand on it’s own merit with no attachments of pork barrel programs.
