State citizens must vote on specific proposals to raise taxes. New spending must not exceed the rate of inflation and growth in population.

    Re: Heath’s proposal to vote on every single tax proposal sounds great but it would paralyze the state further. We elect legislators to make those decisions. California had all those propositions on the ballot and look what happened there!
    In addition, it is easy to say, “cut the pork”. Specically, where should we “cut the pork”. Police, firefighers, social services to the disabled and the elderly? Which ones?
