Support Rep. Bill Mitchell-jail reform

Thank you Rep. Bill Mitchell ! It is about time that Illinois treat offenders as such and not as “guests”. Please continue working on jail reform. As I have commented before in this forum, jail/prison should not be a comfortable place. The taxpayers “give” them food and shelter and the offenders should in turn repay us by working. There is not a thing wrong with living a farm life – early to bed, early to rise and physical work all day. No more cable tv, basketball courts or weight lifting and just maybe they will develop a work ethic to prepare them for life outside.
