Streamline Government

Illinois has four times more units of government than Wisc. That means 4 times more taxing bodies. Let’s streamline local government.
I don’t know where you live, but an example of wasteful government in my neighborhood are the “township” bodies. They are just seats of patronage. Going to county wide units of government seem more productive. We need to take advantage of economies of scale.
Take Libraries for example. Why don’t we have one Lake County Library System just like Kenosha County does?
And let’s talk about school districts, some are so small they really can’t be justified! All of those school administrators, circulum assistant principals, etc, etc, etc! If some of those district were combined we could spend more money on teachers and books, rather on administrative costs.
