Increase Fines for Lawbreakers

Increase fines for people who break the law. Make them really think about their actions. A $75.00 fine for texting while driving won’t discourage anyone. Make it $750. Shoplifters usually are fined $100. Big deal, they pay that with the money they make from selling their stolen goods. Increase the fine to $1000. Speeding tickets should be raised to a minimum of $500. Force people to think if their actions are really worth the cost.
