The fact that a plant and several compounds have been placed on a schedule 1 . I believe that a plant commonly know as cannabis sativa or cannabis indica has recieved much propaganda and that this fact has been proven , and the cannabinoids in the plant or synthetics and cb1 and cb2 receptor agonist have therapeutic uses has been more and more proven true . I aslo believe that adult in their home should be able to use cannabis and as long as they aren’t giving it to childern or driving while under the influence of the active cannabinoids and their active metabolites , and not their inactive fat soluble metabolites . Right know kids can go to the dealers house and a dealer don’t ask for I D , but if controlled and regulated. you could take a lot of the dealers who usually will eventually be a portal for people to come across the hard dangerous drugs that are bought from drug dealers which create the black market and crime associated with it p rohibition didn’t work in the 20s and history shows that prohibition never works as good as regulation and control . We need to address cannabis recreational use as a problem like alcohol and tobbaco . Still though marijuana use has been proven to be harmful to lungs there are other ways to completely or almost completely harmless if taken using other routes of administration . And by having a mild mind altering substance is in same classification as something like meth, heroin, opium, and other heavy drugs then when a kid trying says hey this isn’t so bad If this is all that happens and the child thinks well the if it’s ranked with meth then maybe meth isn’t as bad as they say then they try it . They may get hooked on it ,overdose or even die is this how the world should be . Let’s let the truth be known and work on making our state a leader in ever changing world
