Highway Signs

Make it illegal for the name of an elected official to be put on public works (e.g., Blagojevich’s name across all the highways, “Mayor Daley’s Graffiti Busters”, etc.). That way, we won’t have to pay to change them (and we’re not using public assets to give free advertising for incumbents). If you want to be a celebrity, go on reality tv. If you want to serve the public, let serving the public be enough reward.
